(2/13/2013) This is a disturbing news as I still eat seafood.
Quite a lot of seafood sold in the supermarket is mislabeled. Oceana (an international ocean advocacy group) tested the DNA and the label of the food and found snapper and tuna are those most commonly mislabeled.
This is their report in PDF. A longer food supply chain definitely alienates consumers with the food they eat. But I wonder whether a shorter supply chain will fix this problem.
